Last updated 10 August 2026 · Draft for professional legal review
What this policy covers
This draft explains how Compare My Kitchen handles the information supplied for a kitchen quotation comparison. It is written in plain English and must receive professional legal review before a commercial launch.
Information we collect
We collect the contact, location and timeframe details needed to prepare a comparison, together with the quotations, plans, designs and supporting documents you upload. We also record technical security information, consent records and product analytics.
How we use it
We use your information to classify and compare documents, prepare your result and PDF report, deliver the report, protect the service, and support you if something fails. Retailer payments never influence the comparison.
Sharing for better offers
Your documents and contact details are not shared with kitchen retailers unless you make a separate affirmative request for better offers. When you do, we store the exact consent wording and time accepted. No more than the configured maximum number of suitable retailers may receive the project.
Storage and access
Uploaded documents are kept in private object storage. Access is checked by the server and limited to the homeowner's secure project link, authorised administrators and retailers who have both been assigned and completed payment after valid consent.
Your choices
You may ask for access, correction or deletion subject to legal and operational retention needs. Contact privacy@comparemykitchen.com. Final controller identity, retention periods and statutory rights will be inserted following legal review.
